Use case · transfer containers

No more trips to a half-full container.

At commercial customers, transfer containers are often on a fixed rhythm – and emptied whether full or not. The PhilRay fill-level sensor reports when it is really needed. You only drive there when it pays.

Where transfer containers cost money

01

Empty trips

A fixed rhythm means the truck arrives and the container is half empty. Trip, time and crew are paid for anyway.

02

Extra collections on request

When a container overflows, the customer calls – and an extra trip upsets the round.

03

Unhappy customers

Full containers on site reflect on the disposal company, even if the rhythm was agreed.

04

Pricing in the dark

Without readings you do not know which customer really needs which rhythm and which size.

Transfer container 4.5 m³

Installed in minutes

On the 4.5 m³ transfer container with two lids, installation is especially simple: the sensor sits at the back under the sheet-metal roof and measures down into the container. No drilling into the tub, no cable, no conversion.

  • Sensor under the roof, protected from weather and waste
  • Collection is detected automatically
  • Retrofit at the next collection

Where the sensor sits

Lids, opening and collection stay as they are. The sensor hangs in the sheltered area under the roof and looks down onto the material.

Your customer is in the loop

When a container reaches the threshold you set, the platform automatically sends a message by email, SMS or push – to your dispatch and, if you like, straight to the commercial customer. With their own access they see their containers themselves. The round only visits customers whose containers are full.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Which containers can be fitted?

2.5 and 4.5 m³ transfer containers, regardless of manufacturer. The 4.5 is the simplest: the sensor sits under the roof. Tell us your containers – we will check in advance.

Are we notified when a container is nearly full?

Yes. As soon as a container reaches the threshold you set, the platform automatically sends a message by email, SMS or push – to your dispatch and, if you like, straight to the customer.

Can our customers see it too?

Yes. You set up access for your customers. They then see their containers with fill levels and collections and receive their messages themselves.

Does the sensor detect the collection?

Yes. An acceleration sensor detects the tipping; the platform records the collection with the fill level before and after. That also gives you proof for the customer.

How long does the battery last?

The batteries are designed for 5 years and can be replaced. A low charge level is reported.

Your transfer containers – where should we start?

Tell us your container sizes and the number of commercial customers – we will show you fill levels, messages and rounds live.
